We were highly satisfied with two major jobs Eco-Logical Building Solutions did for us. Ted Mead is helpful and creative with ideas and design, highly skilled, listens to your ideas and hopes, is thorough, coordinates the work of plumbers, electricians and others and cleans up after he has done the job. You will never find anyone better than Ted to plan with or have working in your home. He’s just a great guy who we thoroughly trust, which feels important. We have recommended him to others who have followed through and used Eco-Logical Building Solutions. They have been very pleased.

Bobby and Tuck - Jaffrey, NH

We initially hired Ted as a short- term consultant to assist with the design of our passive solar home. During this process, we quickly realized the value of having him involved in the whole journey of building our dream home.  He heard the ethos aspects of our green home and helped guide our budget choices to meet them. Ted was a blend of designer, contractor, tradesman, and most importantly, coach.  He is an excellent listener and was the best partner to have on our first house build.  We enthusiastically recommend Ted!

Tim and Chaille - Dublin, NH

A year ago, I bought a home built in 1865 and unimproved since the 1960s. It was largely uninhabitable and certainly lacking in any charm whatsoever. I chose Ted Mead of Eco-Logical Building Solutions to be the contractor for a complete house renovation. Ted created a gorgeous, modern kitchen and two very lovely bathrooms, completely altered the location of walls, windows and even rooms to suit my family’s needs, oversaw the installation of all new plumbing, conversion from knob and tube and vintage unusable outlets to all new electrical throughout the house, mudded ancient walls and/or added new drywall and molding, restored gorgeous original flooring and added new hardwood where needed. Ted’s comprehensive insulation installation made my 152-year-old house anything but drafty and a state of the art learning thermostat keeps my heating expense surprisingly manageable. When friends and guests visit my home, they usually gasp and often ask if they can move in. Every time I come home, I think about how grateful I am to live in such a beautiful home.

Aside from the phenomenal transformation that Ted pulled off, he also charmed us to no end with his easy-going, cheerful manner and wonderful crew. It definitely felt like they were part of the family. I would absolutely recommend Ted for any scale of project. In our case, Ted and his crew took the house down to studs and built it back up, but it still felt like they respected my home in that they never left the worksite untidy at the end of the day, never left trash or construction debris sitting around and just seemed so happy to be building our dream house for us. I will always be thankful for the job they did for us.

We would definitely recommend Ted to others.  Our job needed a contractor that could keep to a tight schedule, working most every day, so that the residents could move in on a specific date.    For us, this was an incredible experience and Ted made that possible.

Gail and Don - Peterborough, NH

Ecological Building Solutions was terrific to work with. They were always there they said they would be and gave priority to our project keeping it on track to be finished on time and on budget. Ted was able to listen to us and understood our desires- giving good advice with choices regarding budget and environment in mind. The subcontracted people, tiler, plumber were also super. It is a testament to his craftsmanship and social skills that he has great people that he regularly works with. We love the space he created in our home and would recommend him to everyone interested in quality, ecology and positivity in interactions.

R + R Snyder - Keene, NH

The house is beautiful. I get stopped on the street by people I don't even know who want to tell me how beautiful my house is.  The inside is gorgeously light and airy as well as energy efficient. Ted is pleasant to work with - knowledgeable, accommodating and patient.
